My name is Hosung Song. I teach at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay a broad range of computer science courses, research in the areas of theory of computation, formal methods, operating systems, and so on. My home page is available here.
I enjoy trying out various free open-source software. I have to say I am not yet a serious programmer/developer in any language/environment, but I know how to at least read/understand various languages/environments such as C, C++, Java, PHP, MySQL, Linux, Perl, ML, process algebras, logics, … . I hope someday I contribute to a good project, but it seems like I haven’t found a project I’d like to work in, or no project has found me?
I also enjoy teaching a lot even though I’m still trying to become good at it. As an information-technology professional, I’m interested in technology-aspect of teaching. I try to use my tablet as much as possible for my teaching or any other presentation needs. I hope to create one nice presentation software myself or contribute to an existing one such as Classroom Presenter. I hope to contribute to an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) like Eclipse or DrJava. Well, I have to admit that I just have too many hopes and I need to grab one and jump on it.
Feel free to email me with any comment, idea or suggestion. Thanks.
